I was curious, so I did a little digging: Cate Blanchett shows up regularly to the Louis Vuitton shows and store openings and branded parties, but hardly ever actually wears it for events — as best I can tell, she wore it to one Ocean’s Eight event in 2018, and in 2017, once at Cannes for a daytime photocall and once in January of that year, and that included a stretch in which she was a Cannes juror. She’s actually way more of a devotee of Armani and Givenchy. I’m honestly rather proud of Cate for getting what I assume are very nice promotional bucks without actually subjecting herself to wearing anything from this line on her own time (unlike, say, Emma Stone or Sophie Turner). Such is the power of the Blanchett.
