So, McPhee is taking over the titular role in Waitress, and I’m sure she’ll be fine in the part — she can sing, after all — but what I really want to see is a dramatic interpretation of the series of events that led to her showing up to the photocall in the pants that go with Shaq’s Santa costume. How did she get them? Does he know they’re missing? Did he loan them to her for some inexplicable reason? What is going to happen at Christmas? Etc.
