Do you think Julianne Moore knew, in her bones, that May December was not gonna happen for her this awards season, and that’s why she was mostly so boring at all the promotional events? Please note that I don’t actually think this is how that calculus works, and I also don’t think she’d have gotten FURTHER if she’d started dressing like an android, or wearing a giant bag made of seventeen different kilts, or whatever. But I WAS perplexed early on with how dull the styling there was, and now here she is all sprightly and excited for Mary and George in what amounts to a blue velvet Schiaparelli mustache. She’s still got in in her! But: Do we like? Let’s take a closer look.
