Kristen Stewart came out to celebrate her stylist, Tara Swennen, at the InStyle Tastemakers event. K.Stew is not Swennen’s only client, but might arguably be her most famous — and yet she’s not really the best indicator of Swennen’s gifts, given that she’s locked into a Chanel deal that often puts ridiculous stuff on her that only even PARTLY works because of Kristen’s innate coolness. I am not sure anyone looks at Kristen in an outfit like this, for instance, and thinks, “Damn, that’s aspirational.” Instead, I’m thinking, “Damn, imagine if she got to wear ANYTHING ELSE.”
