Happy New Year! Would you like to go back in time to an old year? I mean, I think… many of us would. Thirty years ago, at the Golden Globes, Sharon Stone (Casino) defeated Emma Thompson, Susan Sarandon, Elisabeth Shue, and Meryl Streep. John Travolta (Get Shorty) and Nicole Kidman (To Die For) won for comedy acting. Party of Five and Cybill were your best TV series, knocking down shows like ER and NYPD Blue and Friends, Frasier, and Seinfeld. Way to go, Salingers, I sincerely didn’t remember that you ever had that in you — although the Globes, of all awards shows, have always been open to teen-esque dramas. It’s the ONE way in which they have been smart: They were more open to the work being done on Gilmore Girls and Felicity than the other shows.
Also, spoiler, there is one couple in here I had NO idea was ever a thing.
