I pulled these photos before I even knew Ms. Ross would be the star performer on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, an event which — as I’ve said many times before — has too many apostrophes. I just thought we’d enjoy looking back at her career because she’s a Forever Babe and a timeless A-list superstar. But no! Now I am also timely! Amazing! Either way: There are some fantastic looks in here, and some spectacular celebrity cameos — and a lot of photos of the Supremes getting off planes, glamorously. This retrospective only runs through 2000, simply because that felt like an neat place to end — it’s just wall to wall fantasticness.
