Idris and Regina are in The Harder They Fall, a new Western on Netflix that centers on real-life Black men and women in the Wild West who historically been ignored by the genre. It’s getting good reviews, with Deadline making the point that it’s fun to watch Regina King uncork as a ruthless villain. I am not likely to watch a “garishly violent” “face-splatteringly brutal” movie, but I am ALL for Regina King landing all these opportunities to cause chaos, and in the process giving Idris Elba the chance to bask in her glow.
