I’m choosing to ignore whatever Heidi is wearing UNDER this great coat, because it looks like a lot of shapeless denim, and it’s harshing the buzz of the grey check and the sassy little houndstooth cuffs. Is there much else to say? No, except for: In January Heidi announced she’ll be back on Project Runway, and the other day, Nina Garcia revealed she’ll be there too, alongside Law Roach and with Christian Siriano mentoring. That’s a pretty appealing panel, honestly. I am halfway sad that getting the band back together doesn’t include Tim Gunn, but — potentially unpopular opinion ahoy — I don’t think he was a great mentor after a while. He seemed overly diplomatic and less pointed and constructive, although maybe they just edited out those parts? Tim might thrive as a guest judge, though, when he’s not attached enough to the personalities to feel protective. I hope they consider him for that much. I also hope Christian and Law get to cross streams a bit, because the one-two punch of their honesty could be excellent. I had checked out of Project Runway over the years, but I might be tempted to come back for this. What about you?
