Guo Pei is a Chinese couturier whose biggest Stateside splash came when she dressed Rihanna for the Met Gala in the most glorious regal confection that event has ever seen. Apparently, per Vogue, she uncorks her imagination the most vigorously at the January shows and reins it in during July, so drink in this one while you can. Apparently the influence was in roots, and flowers, and how they’re a source of life and vitality, in case you’re wondering (I’m looking up show notes like crazy now after the Zuhair Murad thing). And, like Vogue, I hope one of these does find its way onto the Met red carpet again.
