Clare Waight Keller is to Meghan what Sarah Burton at McQueen is to Kate, so maybe, just maybe, some silhouettes or ideas or drapings that came down this runway will find their way onto the body of the Duchess of Sussex. Indeed, one of her bespoke Givenchy getups — the one she wore for her day of merriment with the Queen — borrowed a concept from the January 2018 couture show, so even with Meghan’s outfits being custom-made it’s not out of the realm for them to share connective tissue with one of the collections.
