Granted, Mindy is coming down off the highs of what she wore to the Cannes events for Inside Out, but regardless I don’t think this combo was going to work for me.
This whole cropped top/big skirt aesthetic has been done so much better in the past, by her and others; this version is too uninspired and flat. She’s trying her damnedest to save it with a sinful red lip and the minty heels, but a) the shoe color looks a tiny bit dated and deranged here for my tastes, and b) nothing can hide that skirt’s past as a hairdresser’s smock. If you told me it smelled of Aveda products I’d believe you.
