Happy weekend, everyone! This is like the second week in three that I’ve had to note that I hope those of you in the path of the hurricane are safe and dry; I hope everyone who went through Helene is doing okay, and if you were impacted by Milton, I also hope YOU are okay. (I hope everyone is okay!) If you’d like to donate to help victims of Hurricane Milton, NBC News has rounded up ways to do so. As ever, if you have suggestions, please feel free to add them in the comments.
Over at Drinks With Broads: Tuesday’s free issue tackled Law Roach’s new book, Dua Lipa’s wacky Diet Coke recipe, and the latest from Jane Pratt. Thursday’s issue (for paid subscribers; THANK YOU!) was a real hoot: We tracked all the recent signs that everyone on Doctor Odyssey is actually dead, went through our frivolous presidential promises, talked about next year’s Met Gala theme, and there’s MORE It Ends With Us dramz. There is also a fresh OMITB recap!! (I have suspicions about Loretta.) Again, a huge thank you to everyone who has become a paid subscriber. Not to sound like a PBS pledge drive, but the newsletter and GFY are made possible by readers like you. Thank you for supporting independent media, and making it possible for us to continue to write about things like dumb celebrity outfits, pickles in Diet Coke, stylist books, silly ABC dramas, and whatever Anna Wintour is getting up to now. If I had a tote bag, I’d give it to you!
Here at GFY, I got to write one of my favorite posts of the year: The Halloween shopping post!
