Happy weekend, everyone! I hope Mercury retrograde is going easy on you. It is, honestly, kicking my ass. ANYWAY.

Perhaps related: Yes, we are aware that the issue of the copy in slideshows covering the bottom of photos is unresolved. I am sorry, and we continue to work on it. Aspects of this are out of my control and I’m actually really annoyed about it!

Over at Drinks With Broads, we had a busy week:

– Aidan is driving us all AROUND THE BEND on And Just Like That.

– But The Gilded Age continues to be a BLAST, as this week had an engagement, a BIG fight, and perhaps someone heading off to fall down a mineshaft.

– We were heartbroken about Malcolm-Jamal Warner, looked at Charli XCX’s wedding, and Had Thoughts about this new Katie Holmes and Pacey project.

– We picked the best from the Richard Simmons auction, watched The Hunting Wives, and wondered…who’s dead?

Here at GFY I also rounded up a selection of Whimsical Sweatshirts! We also talked about our dream vacations.

This was a lovely remembrance of Malcolm-Jamal Warner.

Texas Monthly is a truly great magazine: It Was Already One of Texas’s Strangest Cold Cases. Then a Secretive Figure Appeared.

Wayfair is having a big sale right now — they’re calling it Black Friday in July — in case you need, like, patio furniture or something. A LOT of pet stuff is on sale and I really really want one of you to buy this truly insane cat condo. I’m also obsessed with this giant leather chair…for a dog. The dog model is a STAR.

I feel like I’m the only person I know who would do this but I would DO THIS: How to Go Swimming in the Seine, If You Must.

I dig this Farm Rio dress (it is on sale). If only I had a tropical vacation upcoming. ALAS.

Oooh: A 17th-century farmhouse in the South Downs packed with charm and character. So much wallpaper!

I bookmarked this collection of the NYT’s Best Salad Recipes of ALL TIME.

Fun: The Book Lovers’ Guide to the South of France

Speaking of France, this Rouje/J.Crew collab is very cute and SO ’90s, my GOD. I love this little short-sleeved cardigan. I also absolutely owned these little heels in black in like 1999. It’s true what they say: everything comes back!

Lainey reports: Paul Kelly looks more and more like JFK Jr. in every new set of photos from the set of American Love Story. He does — although this project has an uphill climb.

To wit: Jack Schlossberg blasts Ryan Murphy’s JFK Jr.-based American Love Story. I think Schlossberg is sort of a shitposter half the time but I totally agree with him here, and I think Ryan Murphy, judging from the excerpt of that interview, perhaps forgot that Schlossberg’s MOM certainly remembers her brother and he is likely to be protective of her. (Don’t get me started on why my governor is doing podcast interviews with freaking Ryan Murphy at the moment, like he doesn’t have anything else to do.)

Have you watched KPop Demon Hunters? It sounds delightful.

Did I tell you we have a Remedy code? It is DWBJULY15 for 15% off. I want to try their dry lip treatment, as mine are always so dry. Shout-out to their pimple patches for helping me through a nasty one this last week.

Interesting: Lee Pace Has Entered the James Gunn’s Batman Chat. (I feel like Pace would make a more interesting Batman VILLAIN? Discuss.)

The biggest food trends of the last 20 years. At least one of these totally missed me.

We’ve also got a code at DedCool; DWB15 for (also!!) 15% off. I LOVE their room spray and want to try the detergent. (Everything is a mess, maybe fancy detergent will fix me. That seems easy.)
