When I first saw this dress, about twelve hours ago, I was singularly unmoved:
It’s a weird length and I sort of feel like it looks as though she’s wiggled into a taffeta tube dress on top of a wholly other (perhaps better) dress. Red Carpet Fashion Awards has a shot of the dress as styled by the folks at Carolina Herrera, and I must agree with my esteemed fellow blogger that I think the shoes that were originally paired with this number worked a bit better. (And, judging from the looks on the faces of those two women behind her, I thinkthey also agree.) All that said, it’s grown on me. It feels a bit out of season, but these things happen, man. It’s cool. (It’s also Friday. I feel so much more relaxed.)
