This one very nearly tricked me.
Because at first I was like, “Simple black dress, great shoes, great lipstick, sure, it all works.” But then I looked at it, and it’s weirdly puckered around her hips, and the draping work around her chest looks like a badly made bed. And THEN there is the whole bracelet issue, by which I mean, there isn’t one. And THEN, as my affections cool like Hoth, suddenly I started missing That’s Not A Moon It’s A Space Station, because as much as I didn’t like the construction on THAT dress, EITHER, it had personality and whimsy. It’s a fickle thing, this fugging business. Eva Longoria can get a pat on the back for boring, but then poor Kirsten gets a big pile of Zzzs from me. I think it’s because Kirsten’s taste is usually interesting and fun to dissect even when it’s insane, and so I miss that side of her when it’s gone. COME BACK, RODUNSTE.
