You know that somewhere on an island Katy Perry is complaining to Orlando Bloom that Elle Fanning got to this before she did:
And Orlando just politely “hmmmMMMM”s her and starts wondering if he should take up naked surfing or nude parasailing next. The truth is that I would HATE this on Katy (and I don’t even dislike Katy!) but I think it’s fun and kooky on Elle. I think it helps that her brand is not whimsy (Her Brand Is Whimsy is the misguided sequel to Our Brand Is Crisis, in case you were wondering) and so this feels like a fun experiment.
