God, EVERYWHERE has a film festival now. No disrespect to Newport Beach, where I’ve had many good times and which has, in the past, had a fun Christmas boat parade. In fact, that gives me a brainwave: Let’s marry the film festival and the boat parade and make everyone arrive for these films on boats that are festooned with Christmas lights. THIS WILL BE FESTIVE. So festive, in fact, that we can call it the Newport Beach Film FESTIVE-al. Who can resist this pun?!?!
