The Magic Faraway Tree is an Enid Blyton book series with which I am unaware due to Blyton not really hitting in the United States — she was also, unfortunately, somewhat problematic, and might have been kind of an asshole?  Although both of those two descriptors probably apply to most successful British writers working in the 1940s — and this photo was snapped at the British premiere of a “musical fantasy adventure film” based on it. (Reading the description of the series, I must note that I think I would have been DELIGHTED by it as a child.) If you’re familiar with the books, Nicola Coughlan plays Silky, and the Foy and Garfield play characters who I presume are The Parents.

Here, Garfield is wearing the most delightful cardigan covered in little sheep!!!; Coughlan looks like she’s wearing a repurposed window treatment; and Foy is wearing the rest of said window treatment that Coughlan couldn’t figure out how to incorporate into her own look. All that being said, they could also all be showing up for a photocall announcing their collective ambassadorships for a line of intensive hair conditioners. Everyone is so follicularly blessed! Congratulations are in order!
