Happy weekend and a blessed FIRST DAY OF SPRING! We made it through OSCARS WEEK! If you missed anything, you can catch up on the red carpet here. Also, our best and worst polls are up and running, so don’t forget to vote for: Best dressed at the telecast; worst dressed at the telecast; best dressed at the parties; worst dressed at the parties.
At Drinks with Broads: If you missed the Oscars red carpet and telecast, we ran down the highlights and lowlights here (and had a rollicking live chat). Also: I rank awards season’s step-and-repeats, we dive into the new Vanity Fair, and we talk about what’s happening with Buffy. And! We’ve got a March Madness live chat going all weekend if you want to talk basketball. Go Bruins!!
As it is the first day of spring, it seems right to re-up these posts I wrote a few weeks ago: Fug Nation Loves: Florals For Spring!, and Fug Nation Loves Something Green!
We were on Amy Odell’s Back Row podcast this week, talking about the Oscars (more or less)! It was really a fun conversation, so lend us your ears.

Vanity Fair asks Could Hollywood Move Away From Stylists? I do not think so and I also don’t really think this is “a movement” yet; many celebs say they “don’t have a stylist,” but they DEFINITELY have someone doing the legwork. Call me when folks are buying their own stuff at Macy’s again.

And this entire thing is insane; this was NOT a secret. Once again, the folks casting The Bachelorette absolutely whiff: ABC Pulls ‘The Bachelorette’ Over Taylor Frankie Paul Controversy. Someone is getting fired here.
OMG: Possum found in Hobart Airport gift shop soft toy section. (He’s cute!)(And he’s fine.)
PSA: Wayfair is running their Spring Cyber Week sale right now — up to 80% off – if you’re in the market to refresh or update anything. They’ve got a lot of garden stuff, and outdoor furniture, as you might guess. I really like these rattan patio chairs. (But instead I bought a faux cactus for my stoop. I honestly also need a new door mat. GLAMOROUS. [This succulent one would be Too Much Succulents but I WAS tempted.) (I also really need to figure out some shoe storage. But it seems like too much work.)
This is a really interesting conversation: WTF Is a Weeknight Recipe?
This property is AMAZING. This is the kind of weird shit I’d buy if I were very rich.
Every word here is insane: Leaked Audio Reveals Rebel Wilson’s PR Team Plotted to Smear Movie Producer as Sex Trafficker. Whut. (Rebel Wilson seems to have a lot of drama surrounding her for a person who presented as perfectly innocuous.)
This piece was so delightful — and logistically fascinating — to read: A Whirlwind Tale of the Met Opera’s 30-Minute Intermission Dining. I want to do this!

Apparently the new Ryan Gosling movie is really good — it’s HOT in Los Angeles, feels like a good weekend to go to a movie. (If I can fit it around basketball, a difficult scheduling trick.)
I’m really tempted by these jeans. WILL I EVER STOP BUYING JEANS? This is my sickness.
ALERT: Eadem has new shades in their iconic lip gloss for spring/summer. I love the guava shade, this is my go-to gloss. (While you’re there, I also like their exfoliating toner.)

I’ve been wearing the Eby Relief Bra a lot lately because — TMI? No such thing — I have a cyst in my right breast and it hurts sometimes (don’t worry, I’ve been all checked out by my doctor multiple times and it’s nothing to worry about!) and this bra seriously DOES help it not hurt so much. They also sell them as a bundle. Aging is a gift but also sometimes it is annoying. Also, I just noticed they’re running a deal on bundles of their undies, if you like them. (I do!)

This is a fun fact: “Damson Idris arrived on the Oscars red carpet wearing a diamond brooch that was not pulled from a vault or borrowed from a brand archive. He designed it himself.” He has a fine jewelry line!
Speaking of sales, AYR is having a big one! I’d be remiss if I didn’t tell you this includes their excellent Breton-striped tee. Also, I have these pants and wear them a lot. (Order your normal size, but if you are between sizes or at all iffy about it, I would size up. They have a button inside the waistband to adjust the waist if you need it.)
