As I was setting this post, the following thought floated through my head: Is Mean Girls the Clueless of the aughts? It might be; at the very least, they’re similarly highly quoteable. (Mean Girls boasts more Oscar nominees but that’s not Clueless’s fault. As if!) The above certainly makes it very clear that in another lifetime, Amanda Seyfried would have made an excellent Cher Horowitz.
