I feel like Ming-Na Wen is someone people nostalgically associate with her role in ER, or The Joy Luck Club, and it’s easy to forget how many other corners of pop culture she’s inhabited: She’s the original Mulan, she headlined Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, she’s a frequent voice in the DC Comics universe, she’s Fennec Shand across the expanded Star Wars universe, and even did a stint on Hacks. She also appeared on Another World and As The World Turns, where the latter show made her the first Asian-American to land a contract role in that genre, AND was Royal Trumpeter #3 on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. I am not sure how many more bases she could possibly have covered here — she’s a legit all-rounder, this is very exciting, and she looks gorgeous. Even Dr. Carter showed up to wish her well.
