Admittedly, I am not an expert on the filmography of Denzel Washington, but one of my favorite Denzel movies is one he isn’t even in. I guess that’s the beauty of being Denzel. When the simple mention of your name counts as A Denzel Moment, you have MADE IT.
Edited to add that Beyonce was also at this event — she gave an award to Melina Matsouka, who is a director (of Insecure, Master of None, and the “Formation” video, among others).
