Zendaya officially became the first celebrity to pluck something from the batshit buffet that was Loewe’s Spring 2022 show. Luckily, she didn’t pick one of the knee gaps, or the backwards coats, or the crotch boxes — although actually, if any of that stuff is EVER going to work, it would be on Zendaya, so they might as well ship her a trunkful and cross their fingers. I know I called it a breastplate in the headline because it reminded me of the time she wore the $15,000 hot pink Tom Ford one, but truly it’s more of a high-fashion lead apron.
