This was a reader request for a chat and I love it! October, naturally, is The Northern Hemisphere’s Spookiest Month, thanks to Halloween (and, of course, the veil between the worlds growing thin etc etc). (Is October also considered Spooky in Australia? Surely not! Spring is not a spooky season. Autumn is the spookiest season, as the days grow short and that which flourished in summer begins to die. Harvest metaphor, blah blah blah.) Ergo, it is a month during which we love to consume that which is spooky: horror movies, scary books, and…uh, the Monster Mash? (I couldn’t come up with a third Spooky Thing.) It’s time to share YOUR FAVORITE SPOOKY READ.
