A Fug National emailed this week with a request for this chat, and I thought it might be helpful to a lot of people in this community. (Including me!) She wrote:

I have a request: are there books or youtube channels or tiktoks about organizing, decluttering, and downsizing one’s stuff, with great suggestions for what to donate, how to donate, how to sell something valuable, how to let go emotionally–in short, how to help someone climb out from under one’s own clutter plus one’s deceased parents’ clutter and even one’s deceased grandparents clutter?

A great question! I’m currently helping my Dad go through the contents of the house my family moved into in the late 1980s. My mom was a collector — as am I! — so it’s a lot of stuff.  (A lot of which I am admittedly keeping because I love stuff, but a lot of which we are also getting rid of.) I’m sure many people in Fug Nation have done this or are in the midst — share your knowledge!
