We covered pink; now we move onto yellow, which was a surprise in the sense that it’s hard to pull off and so fewer people usually try — but, it actually was named by Pantone as one of the official colors of the year for 2021. (The other was grey. I believe they were supposed to symbolize our gloom and our optimism, which feels like hedging their bets on how it was going to go — and yet, also, fairly accurate in the end.) It’s fun seeing which celebs make an appearance in both this and the pink slideshow — Colman Domingo, Kelsea Ballerini, Jodie Turner-Smith, etc. Lots of people’s stylists were on it. This is not a comprehensive list, of course; some things didn’t come up in an image search, which is why Amanda Gorman at the Inauguration wasn’t in here (my brain is rotting and I can’t remember anything without help). But someone pointed it out in the comments AND HERE IT IS, please revisit it. What a way to kick off the year.
