Truly, has Kate ever met a lace or lace-adjacent gown she did not buy? This — a new number from McQueen — is DEEPLY in her Formalwear Wheelhouse. This whole look is sort of Classic Middleton and thus I find it rather relaxing, if unsurprising.

It moves nicely (and the back of it is sort of surprisingly sexy for her):

I’m sad Wills didn’t take this opportunity to pop out in some over-the-top embroidered Gucci number, but you know. Man fashion baby steps.
