This movie — where Leonardo DiCaprio tried to win an Oscar as Howard Hughes (he lost to Jamie Foxx in Ray, in a slate of actors that was 80% biopic) — predates the time when we’d try to cover film premieres in their entirety and my God, these shindigs had way more hats than I remembered. We’ve also got fur coats, bad man-hair, loads of satin, a few legitimately good looks, some information I never had about The Aviator (a movie I somehow never saw), and at least two teen heartthrobs other than Leo. Get into it.
