So, I’ve been fairly snotty about the fact that I think Hailee Steinfeld should not be making Transformers movies; I stand by that, and it’s part and parcel with the fact that I also don’t think she should be making random Pitch Perfect sequels. But literally no one is asking me to run Hailee Steinfeld’s career and I guess that’s fine. (For what it’s worth, I would be arguing to model her career more on Natalie Portman’s, but I’m sure we would have already had a client/manager break-up when I refused to let her record a pop album.) Having said that, this particular Transformers movie is actually getting very good reviews. Better, perhaps, than the reviews I’m about to give this latest stretch of her wardrobe.
