Fredrik Backman’s A Man Called Ove became a film in 2015, and an Oscar-nominated one, but apparently it demanded to be remade by Hollywood and turned into an English-language film set in Pittsburgh, with a protagonist named Otto. Because I guess we can’t process “Ove”? Or the concept of Swedish people? Anyway, it’s being released in a plum awards-bait slot, but there’s been surprisingly little discussion of it, so I can’t tell if it has Prospects or if it will come and go from my life in a blink, like one of those Ikea Allen wrenches. Wait, hang on, that’s a lie, I have about 17 of those in my toolbox because apparently I always keep them in case of… a disaster that ruins my other 16? But let’s run with it anyway. Herein, a roundup of what the cast has been wearing as it circles the globe: Sweden, Spain, L.A., and Mexico City.
