Do we think the elder ladies of This Is Us agreed on their color story in advance? It seems like too much of a coincidence that Chrissy AND Mandy AND Susan all wore a similar shade of blue. Edited to add: Apparently, per Instagram, it was a total coincidence. Pearson family mind-meld?
Also: I’m genuinely delighted this show won. It is extremely well-performed. And yes, I realize it’s written specifically to tug at my heartstrings, but I’m okay with that. In fact, I’m INTO that right now. I like shows where grown-ups have feelings and real conversations about them, and I’m into escapist TV that lets me focus on other people’s problems. Not in a perpetually heightened way, like How To Get Away With Murder, but in a well-intentioned and earnest and almost kind way, like this and The Good Doctor, and even Grey’s Anatomy again. Hell, I even took up Kevin (Probably) Saves The World, for much the same reason. Punch me in the feels, y’all. That’s where I want to take it right now.
