We covered the PGA Awards this morning, now here we are at the WGA Awards, and I feel like I could invent an awards show and just give it a bunch of initials as a name, and some people would come because they’d assume it was a guild they’d never heard of. Yes, yes — the Producers and the Writers are big deal guilds, but don’t you care about the TLGA? The….Television Ladies Guild? It supports ladies on TV!!!! Folks would show up.
ANYWAY! This legit event was semi-virtual (all these people have all been and are all going places but writers do hate leaving the house, so this seems on brand), so we only really saw presenters. The good news is that they brought much to discuss.
