Of note at this event: In a field that included Oscar presumptives Cate Blanchett and Michelle Yeoh — as well as Brendan Fraser and Colin Farrell; it was a gender-neutral category — Danielle Deadwyler of Till picked up the acting trophy from the Gotham Film & Media Institute. Sadly, she doesn’t appear to have been there, but it’ll be interesting to see whether that’s a harbinger of what’s to come at the Oscars and others. We also got a lot of Severance actors, Julianne Moore, Gabrielle Union, a visit from Janelle James, and an unexpected accessory.
