In lieu of a fresh MTV Movie and TV Awards — understandably, MTV may have felt that 2020 didn’t have enough movies, although I still felt like TV managed to present itself — the network decided to do a Greatest Of All Time special. This meant a lot of the world could be done remotely and in the edit bay, but also made room for a couple celebs to appear in front of a step-and-repeat — generally the ones who seem the most afraid they will stop existing if they don’t hit a red carpet soon, and then also Neve Campbell. Now, I don’t know how much of this was ACTUALLY in person and how much they just had one person come by alone during a time window and get a photo taken. Whatever they did, I hope they managed to achieve it in a way that can teach the Golden Globes how to give us fashion without giving anyone Covid.
