First, I’d like to lodge a COMPLAINT: This awards show is usually the same week as the All Star Game, and held on an evening when no other American sports are underway. I have no idea why they moved it up a week this year — maybe Serena Williams, who hosted, has an non-refundable trip to Capri next week? I hope she does! (Actually, I suspect it was because they wanted to lure some Olympians before everyone had to fly to Paris. This kinda paid off but not really) — but this meant no baseball players and few women’s basketball players could attend. If you don’t want Shohei Ohtani there with all his dimples and lush hair, because he’s otherwise occupied playing an underwhelming game in Philly where he went 0-4, I guess it’s your funeral!!!!!!!!!
ANYWAY. We did get other folks to eyeball, and they, frankly, brought it. These people in pants had to be HOT, because it was steamy in Los Angeles last night. This was the time for your fashion shorts, friends!
