Mindy Kaling is bowing out of promotional events for her show, due to the writers’ strike — which, while a bummer for her, is sort of nice for these actresses. Because Mindy is so famous, she’d probably be the first call for a morning talk appearance or a panel discussion, and her being unavailable means they get to tag-team and be the faces of the show.
