Is Kate Hudson entering her Noted Kook era? Because, when I saw this look over at Getty Images, the very first thing that popped into my head was, “she looks like Endora.” To be clear, this is not a bad thing: Endora is an icon of style, and her unabashed hatred of all human men was highly advanced for network TV in the mid-’60s, and was always especially refreshing after watching half an hour of Jeannie on I Dream of Jeannie call (an admittedly hot!!!!) Larry Hagman “master.” (Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie aired back to back in syndication when I was a kid in the ’80s; I primarily watched the latter because the inside of Jeannie’s bottle is REALLY chic and I always wanted to see it.) (I have a whole unbaked theory about how feminist Bewitched actually is; almost every man on the show is presented as a low-key idiot while the women always know better and have to come in and fix their shit. I truly love Bewitched, no offense to the human men in my life.) That’s not even getting into what a meaningful champion of caftans Endora was, not to mention eyeliner. Speaking of which…I’m kinda sad Kate didn’t go for the Endora makeup on top of everything else. Go big or go home.
