This is one of those lower-level awards shows (in terms of public attention, not in terms of among the directors) that is slowly turning into a bigger and bigger awards shows (in terms of public attention) and that turn of events means we’re getting a red carpet where people and their stylists clearly are not totally sure how fancy they’re supposed to go, or how fancy OTHER people are going. Like….is this a semi-fancy trouser suit event? Is this a GOWN event? No one knows. So many people just threw on a blazer and hoped for the best.
