Ever since the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences — AKA the Oscars people — opened their new(ish) Academy Museum, they’ve celebrated with an annual gala to which everyone comes because everyone wants to kiss AMPAS ass, especially heading into awards season. That annual ass-kissing was this past weekend! (I am being snarky but this is probably a good party, in addition to a great opportunity for the aforementioned ass-kissing; two things can be true.) I am thrilled to see all the outfits, and also want to congratulate the Academy Museum for figuring out a step-and-repeat that doesn’t have the backdrop of, like, a parking garage, which has been an issue in the past.
