If you were not paying attention to these sorts of things in 1997, The House of Yes was an indie film starring Parker Posey, Josh Hamilton, Freddie Prinze, Jr. and Tori Spelling that would likely not be made today because the plot is off the rails. (I saw it in the movie theatre and enjoyed it. We were allowed to be way more off the rails in 1997 in many ways and American feature films were definitely allowed to be weirder.) My recollection is that Tori was better in it than you’d expect. The premiere is absolutely a time capsule and Reese Witherspoon had a great time. Come back to the 1990s with me. There’s SO much leopard print.
