The couture show had plenty of volume, and I know ready-to-wear often tamps that down, but… not even ONE, Giambattista Valli?!? If a skirt doesn’t take up Texas-size real estate at one of these shows, did it even happen? There ARE still a few very pretty things, at least — slide 40 (pictured above) is a VERY soothing botanical print — and ones where you don’t have to turn sideways to pass through a doorframe, so therein lies the benefit. But there’s also some wonky stuff, and I’m not sure how it all hangs together.
