I read a lot of words from Vogue about this show, and yet I still came away unclear about what any of this, or it, is saying. Fashionista landed on “a little something for everyone,” which I think is a generously diplomatic way of saying, “This was all over the place.” WWD talked about wispy clothes but clean lines, and brilliance. There ARE some neat jackets and coats in here, and you can see flashes of work-chic, but there’s also SO much tissue paper. I came away feeling less optimistic than in a couple previous collections, and as if perhaps the obsession with designer Kim Jones is a tad overblown? But we’ll see what makes it off the runway and into the real world (or, red carpet).
