This scrolldown is a particularly tough one because we get almost the ENTIRE way to the bottom before the sucker-punch. Chloe looks super from her part to two-thirds of the way down her shin, and then BOOM, the white bootie-hooves. I don’t have any experience with the five-finger sneakers or these foot-mittens, and would be extremely curious to know if anyone in Fug Nation has tried them and can weigh in on whether having your toes forcibly separated like that is a strange sensation. Mostly, I just think these look clompy, and with such a posh and light outfit, it’s a clash. Still, given Chloe’s storied history, it’s pretty thrilling that this brought as many delights as it did.
She does seem to dig those boots, too:
That coat makes me laugh. It looks like something Daddy Warbucks would have ordered for Annie, to make sure she grew up a Yankees fan. I hope the back flap has an actual player name and number on it.
