Royals Round-Up, November 10th, 2017

So many people are either visiting other countries, or being visited, this week! Also: puppies.

Kate repeated a gown (that Meghan Markle also owns) and brought out some REAL JEWELS.

Kate also modeled a new plum-colored frock and prompted us all to have a long convo about tights.

We looked at DoC fave Zimmermann to find some new looks for her wardrobe.

How delighted the Queen looks:

Today The Queen toured the refurbished Sir Joseph Hotung Gallery at the British Museum 25 years after she first opened it in 1992. The gallery tells the stories of China and South Asia from 5000BC to the present day.

This evening The Countess of Wessex, Patron of @mencap, hosted a reception to celebrate the charity's 70th Anniversary. Mencap is the UK's leading learning disability charity, working with people with learning disabilities and their families and carers. HRH met a number of people who have been supported by the charity and heard how it has helped to positively change their lives. One of those was Charlotte, who has Mosaic Syndrome. After participating in Mencap's Shine Project, Charlotte was able to get a permanent job & this year ran the London Marathon raising £7,500.

Today, The Queen will reopen the Sir Joseph Hotung Gallery of China and South Asia at the British Museum. The gallery was first opened by Her Majesty in 1992 The Queen has visited the British Museum many times during her reign: her 1957 visit marked the 200th anniversary of the presentation of the Old Royal Library to the new British Museum by King George II in 1757; in 1999 she toured the 'Gilded Dragons' exhibition with President Jiang Zemin of China during his State Visit; at the opening of Great Court in 2000, The Queen said, 'In the life of the nation, the British Museum is a remarkable phenomenon. It is … an enduring source of learning, inspiration and pleasure for millions of people who visit every year.'
