So this event, yesterday, was fairly adjacent to my abode and therefore I can tell you with 100% certainty that many of these people were freezing posing for these pics. It was 49 degrees in this neck of the woods when this was happening! All hail Marisa Tomei, who wisely added a blazer. Having said that, I love that the Mulleavys put their runway show on here at home — they grew up in Pasadena and still live here, a fact to which I can attest because I’ve seen them at the grocery store in sweats at like 10am on a Saturday — and the location is certainly fantastic (and lends itself well to these aggressively feminine Gilded Age-y dresses). I imagine it was personally meaningful for them to host this in a place that truly feels like home to them. Selfishly, I wish I’d known this was happening! I would have run over there and lurked literally in the bushes to give y’all the full report.
Also, I hope you like ruffles. (To be honest, I think everyone here looks kind of floofy and great.)
