As a sidebar to this, I finally looked up one of her songs — her latest, “Anywhere” — and Rita has a perfectly decent voice, but the video was really weird. She wore a boatload of designer clothes in a ton of different setups, but it somehow doesn’t translate as very expensive, and some shots are flat-out janky. She is also really bad at lip synching, and the entire thing feels like they are shooting around something — possibly, that. I don’t know. Watch and ponder with me, Fug Nation:
It’s not a TERRIBLE song, but… doesn’t this feel like it should have been a Eurovision entry? Come to think of it, why HASN’T Rita Ora done Eurovision? Have we just solved her whole career?
