Ismael Cruz Cordova and Maxim Baldry are definitely two of the more interesting dressers in the Rings of Power cast, so I’m glad they hit the road together for this event. Maxim, on the right, is stealing the show a little because his suit grabs you so quickly, and I think it’s wise that he went with a plain white tee and not anything overcomplicated. That outfit did not need embellishments. Ismael’s is a little slopper, but also, has the misfortune of not rendering as clearly in photos.
Here, I think you can tell the top and jacket are not crinkled, but actually PLEATED. (I assume the pants are too?) That’s intriguing, but this also looks sort of… heavy? Like he’s burdened by it. He might also have benefited from a simpler shirt design, because the open collar is fighting a little with the lapels; it’s one thing keeping this from being as interesting as it perhaps could be. “Not as interesting as it could be” was also my review of the first half of season one of the show, in fact. I am tempted to revisit it; I am not sure he needs to do the same with the suit.
