First, this is a terrible title because if you google “War” you’re not getting anything about this at all, and if you don’t realize it’s a TV series — coming soon to an HBO near you, etc. — searching on “War movie” is also extremely unfruitful. Even “War movie 2026″ gets you nowhere. “War series” does work, at least. Maybe HBO just needs to do a better job sliding fat wads of cash across the table at Google in exchange for high search placement.
Back to the real business: Sienna Miller makes PERFECT sense for Erdem, but when matching celebs with dresses in the runway posts — even facetiously — I get so worried about using the same old people every time that I’ll psych myself out and go blank. Thus, I forgot to think about her, despite her being on the promo trail for War — sorry, WAR. This just came down the runway, and I don’t know if I would have suggested Sienna for it, but I’m also not shocked to see it on her. This is fine? Without the runway lighting, the individual feathers don’t stand out as much, so she looks more like she’s a human-tauntaun hybrid who’s having trouble smoothing out her shape-shifting. Actually, I stand by thinking this would have been best at the Tonys. Those feather bits are SO theatrical; I could see your host doing a kick-line in this, with a coordinating feathery fan and some thoughtfully deployed hotpants.
