Allow me to open by noting that I LOVE Sigourney Weaver. She’s a great actor. She is a dish. I was VERY influenced by all the amazing sweaters she wore in Ghostbusters as a child! However, I cannot keep myself from making an involuntary screeching sound whenever I scroll down this photo. Like, it starts great…and then it turns into an upholstery project gone VERY AWRY.

The crazy thing is, I think I would have liked the white shirt with those nutty pants, and I also would have liked that dress if it had been deployed on its own — sure, it’s literally twee British upholstery fabric depicting the lost scenes of Downton Abbey, but I am at home for that shit! A whimsical print is to be welcomed! Upholstery pants are a hoot! Why DON’T we wear more needlepoint clothing? Whimsy is a boon! Prints are to be embraced! Just…not all at once. You know? This is…all at once.
