This year was the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, considered a milestone for the LGBTQ+ community in terms of fighting for social change and equal rights. New York City, the site of the uprising, ended the month with a whole week of festivities, including concerts, and culminating in the Pride parade. There were loads of others internationally and around the country, of course, but we had the most shots of the starry attendees in NYC. At which, yes, Billy Porter once again shone bright like a diamond:

And here, I’m going to turn it over to Kamala Harris’s own Instagram to show you what she wore in San Francisco:

Hell yes.

I want to believe that everyone who attended and posed did the news agencies also walks the walk the rest of the year. On that note: Pride is ending, but the need for support is not. I know a lot of us are having to budget our philanthropic dollars very carefully these days, because there are so many places we wish to spend them. But, maybe you’re ready and you feel overwhelmed with wondering where to give. Or, maybe you can’t donate today, or tomorrow, or next week, or even next month, but you hope there will come a day when those funds are available and this is the direction you will want to look. Ergo, I hope this post can stand a resource for whenever that day does arrive. We’ve had a lot of luck on Instagram getting charity recommendations from Fug Nationals who are very plugged-in and have creative, informed suggestions for donations, so please do post your suggestions in the comments. Above all, we hope this is a place where each and everyone of you feels cared for and included and embraced, just as you are.
